Two commonly used dust suppressants on gravel surfaces are Calcium Chloride and Magnesium Chloride, which are hygroscopic salts that absorb moisture from the air.

Calcium Chloride Flake

When Calcium Chloride is applied to gravel surfaces, moisture is drawn from the air to help keep the surface damp and binds dust particles to the gravel, even in hot and dry conditions.

Calcium Chloride Flakes (DOWFLAKE™ Xtra 83-87%) has 10% more calcium chloride than conventional flake calcium chloride products. They provide more pound-for-pound performance when used for dust control.

Safe for the Environment – Damage to tree’s rarely occurs in dust control applications that follow current standard practices.
