Quality Assurance Certificates
Our operating procedures have been inspected and approved in accordance with both Canadian and U.S. feed quality programs and have attained the following certifications.
Safe Feed/Safe Food Certification Program
The Safe Feed/Safe Food (SF/SF) program is certified by the Safe Quality Food Institute (SQFI) under the program of FSC: 34 of American Feed Industry Association (AFIA). This is a voluntary, independently certified program designed for the total American feed industry through the American Feed Industry Association (AFIA). The Safe Feed/Safe Food Certification Program establishes comprehensive standards of excellence that go beyond existing FDA regulatory requirements for non-medicated feed ingredients to maximize food and feed safety.
The FeedAssure HACCP Program
The FeedAssure HACCP Program is a comprehensive feed safety management and certification program. This Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) program is developed for the Canadian feed industry through the Animal Nutrition Association of Canada (ANAC). It is a systematic approach to controlling feed safety and this status is maintained through an annual third party independent audit.
Safe Quality Food Code Certification
The Safe Quality Food (SQF) certification is awarded by the Safe Quality Food Institute (SQFI) and recognized worldwide. The SQF Code is a process and product certification standard whose main feature is its emphasis on the systematic application of HACCP for the control of food quality hazards as well as food safety.
The implementation of an SQF management system addresses a buyer’s food safety and quality requirements and provides the solution for businesses supplying local and global food markets. It is an assurance that our food safety plans have been implemented in accordance with the HACCP method and applicable regulatory requirements.
It is also a statement of our commitment to:
- Package & distribute safe quality food
- Comply with the requirements of the SQF Code
- Comply with applicable food legislation
